Blue Bell

Remember the custard-style ice cream your parents (grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, neighbors) made back in the 1950’s? Only Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream matches the taste of that sweet confection. Blue Bell is made in Brenham, TX, and when we lived in Houston it was a “staple” in our household.

Since moving to Olympia, we have missed Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla. Once, long ago, some friends spent approximately $75-$100 to send us two half-gallons of Blue Bell. No telling what the shipping cost is now. But, halleluiah, it is possible to buy Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla in Arizona. We’ve been going through a half-gallon per week since discovering that it is here. Yummmm!

We are now in Mesa, AZ, having a good time. The temps are warm, high 70’s (even 80 some days). Paddy is playing shuffleboard and a little bocce ball. I am doing water aerobics and Zumba. And we tried a Tai Chi class on Friday that turned out to be interesting. We will be making a short (two night) trip to Sedona and Flagstaff this coming week. Reports coming.
