As you can see, we are not entirely without holiday decorations. The small wreath on the front of Uncle Joe has no lights or bells, but it works for us. We have attached it to the front of the tripod that gives our rig a little more stability.
Since we have been in Yuma we have gotten together with our friends Al and Mavis, and our friends Wes and Laura, several times each. (We met Wes and Laura at Ehrenberg on our snowbird trip last year. They are in Yuma this winter.) That's more social life than we have in a month at home! We will be attending a brunch at Al and Mavis' on Christmas day. Other than that no plans for the holiday -- maybe a big dinner, but we haven't worked it out yet.
We also took a day trip to the Yuma Proving Grounds one day. There were lots of old weapons and vehicles there. It is also the entrance to a BLM area where people can park their RVs in the desert, paying very little for bare-bones camping with no electricity or water. Gives me the shivers just to drive through these places.
We will be leaving here on the 28th headed to Palm Creek RV Resort in Casa Grande. We've enjoyed our stay here in Yuma, but it's always fun to go to a new place to check out new sights and activities.
Happy Holidays to all!
