Yesterday there was a dog show here at Palm Creek. The categories for prizes were Best Costume, Best Trick, and People's Choice. Minnie was entered and wore her polka-dot dress with gingham and lace ruffle. Very cute, but not a winner. Of course, she does no tricks. She seemed to enjoy meeting the other dogs, but not participating in the show itself. She needed to go up some rather tall steps to the stage. She balked at going both up and down and had to be carried. But she looked marvelous.
The winner of the costume category was a bulldog wearing a rabbit outfit. The people's choice winner wore a much fancier dress than Minnie's, with big ruffles and flounces. Sorry I didn't get pictures of the other dogs; my camera would only focus on Minnie. Paddy got pictures of most of the other dogs and has posted them to Facebook in case you're interested in seeing them.
