Getting Ready for Arizona

We brought Uncle Joe home yesterday (Saturday) and began packing things today for our first snowbirding trip to Arizona. We are getting excited but have so much to do before we leave early Tuesday morning (Dec. 1st).

We have arranged for our neighbors Pat and Terry's son Townsend to look after things around the house while we're gone -- check for break-ins, leaks, broken windows, packages on the doorstep. Also, Terry has agreed to drive my car every two weeks to keep all the moving parts moving.

Taking care of our mail is more complicated. We have arranged for the Post Office to send our mail to a mail-forwarding service in Florida. We will let them know when and where to send the mail to us in Arizona. The reason it is so complicated is that we aren't staying in the same place the whole time, and we don't even know yet where we'll be half the time, so the Post Office can't send it to us directly. It's an adventure!
