Yesterday we left La Push and drove north to the Clallum County Beach Park near the town of Joyce, WA. We plan to stay here for three nights -- through the weekend, as weekend camp sites are hard to come by. We arrived about noon and were able to get a nice pull-through spot. Paddy parked us “backwards” so we have a water view from the back picture window. (The water referred to is the Strait of Juan de Fuca, between Washington and Vancouver Island, Canada.)
This is a beautiful park and campground with rocks and tide pools and inaccessible caves. And, they have 50-amp electrical hook-ups, which means we can use the hot-water heater on electricity and not depend on the propane hook-up, which only works sporadically. Hoo-boy, clean dishes and hot showers. It doesn’t get any better than this.
We came to Port Angeles today to use Wi-Fi at the library. Gotta go so Paddy can come in. He's waiting for me with Shaddy in The Beast.

It sounds like your having a good trip in spite of the unpredictability of your hot water. Nice that you had some sun today. It was nice here today too. I planted the last of our tomato plants today. I'm enjoying reading about your trip. Love, Mary
