We checked in at Shady Firs about noon yesterday. It is a really pretty campground with lots of grass and lots of Douglas fir trees. We chose to do without a TV hookup and, instead, parked away from other campers in a large grassy area where Shaddy can chase his ball. He’s very happy. We also don’t have Wi-Fi, so I am posting this from the Randle library.
We had some entertainment yesterday afternoon watching a man putting up his motorcycle trailer tent. He has a very fancy mustard yellow three wheel motorcycle with a matching trailer which opens up into a tent. We wondered if it was his first time to put it up because it seemed to take him all afternoon to do it. We weren’t glued to the show so don’t know why it took so long, only that every time we glanced down that way he was still working on it.
We are fairly close to the highway, but in Uncle Joe we aren’t bothered by road noise. Also, it’s not that busy of a highway. The night was very quiet. Looks like this campground is a keeper.
