We had an interesting experience today. In this large campground, with plenty of open spaces, a trailer has parked right next to us. When I say "right next" I mean that their steps end about three feet from our sewer drain. If they opened their awning, it would be against our living/dining slide-out. What were they thinking???? Why would they do that to themselves, much less to us? At least we can close our blinds on that side and pretend they aren't there. They can't do anything to mitigate our presence. I just don’t understand why they would do this if they didn’t have to. Arrrggg!
This morning we took a drive to look at a couple of other campgrounds in the area. We have one more free night here at Maple Grove, and we want to stay out a couple of more nights before heading home.
The first place we went is called Cascade Peaks. We started by going through the wooded sites that have electricity and water only. This area of the campground was the most confusing place I have ever seen. Small little roads, thick woods, small and/or uneven campsites. So we went to see the full-hookup sites. If this part of the campground were full, people would be closer together than our new neighbors are to us. Fortunately, it is not anywhere near full right now. But we decided not to stay there.
Instead, we will be going to a place called Shady Firs. It has nice grassy campsites, and not many people. Plus, it is part of our Passport America network, so we will get in for half-price. Not bad.
