Yesterday I went to see the new movie, "My Sister's Keeper" which stars Cameron Diaz and is based on a book by Jodi Picoult (see my book mention of "Change of Heart" last week).
The movie was okay but did not live up to my expectations. I had not read the book, so that wasn't the spoiler. It's just that the movie was slow moving and completely predictable. If you have seen the previews, you can pretty much figure out the whole story. I'd suggest waiting for the DVD.
Paddy would have hated it because it is filled with flash-backs -- and also because there's no exciting action. It's just as well he turned down my invitation to join me.
