Heyburn, ID

After driving through rain most of yesterday, we arrived at Heyburn Riverside RV Park, on the Snake River, in the afternoon. It is VERY windy here but clear and sunny today, and not too cold – although last night was in the low 40’s. Paddy said he was cold all night, and we didn’t have the heat on. Poor baby. I snuggled down and slept fine the whole night. Tonight we’ll turn on the heat.

The park is nice, with grass and plants, and a nice walking trail along the river. But no cable TV and no reception with the antenna. And no Wi-Fi.

Today we came out to explore Heyburn. Not much to see, but on the other side of the river is Burley which is a larger town with a library with Wi-Fi. We hate not being connected.

  1. So, I guess you are in the rain too! We have been through Hermiston numerous times on our way to Boise (that's where Frank grew up and his brother who has passed away lived there).

Hope your electrical problems are not big ones. That could be frustrating! I will keep in touch with you through your blog. Love, Leslie

  2. The problem with the electric switch on the hot water heater seems to be okay for now, although the indicator light still doesn't come on. We'll look into it when we get home -- not letting it worry us too much on this trip.
