Yesterday we took a day trip to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park just west of El Centro. We drove through valleys, canyons, over hills, and past some badlands. And we got close to some snow-covered hills, snow from the huge rainstorms we had last week. At higher elevations it came as snow which still stands on a few of the “mountains” in the area.
We also visited several RV parks for possible future visits. Our favorite is in the town of Borrego Springs and is called The Springs. It is gorgeous, with wonderful views of the hills surrounding the town. Very expensive! There is also a beautiful state park just outside of town, camp sites with full hookups (but limited WiFi). It’s also expensive. We’ll see. It’s fun to check out these places.
