You know that rain they’re having around Los Angeles and San Diego? Well, we’re not all that far from San Diego, and it’s rained hard here the last two nights. Our RV park has paved roads throughout and small rocks covering the RV sites, but the surrounding desert is all dirt. Yesterday there was thick mud in the desert areas. I made the mistake of walking out there a little way and came home with so much thick goo on my shoes that I couldn’t wash it off under the (outside) faucet.
Last night’s rain was harder than the night before, and today we have standing water around our rig. Fortunately, there is a cement pad we can step out on and it is not covered in water, so we can get out and walk on the road without getting our feet wet. It’s raining today and more is predicted for tonight and tomorrow. Puts a little crimp in our outside activities, but we are snug inside Uncle Joe.
We want to take a couple of day trips before we leave here. Maybe next week.

I guess this is just a reminder that there is no place anywhere that is completely perfect all the time, huh?
